N95 VS N100 Mask

N95 mask is one of nine kinds of anti-particle masks certified by NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health). "N" means particles that are not suitable for oil (cooking fume is oily particles, while droplets produced by talking or coughing are not oily); "95" means that the filtration efficiency reaches 95% under the detection conditions specified in NIOSH standard. N95 is not a specific product name. Products that meet N95 standards and pass NIOSH review can be called "N95 masks."

Among the nine standards formulated by NIOSH, N95 is the lowest standard for infection prevention, which is cheap and easy to be adopted by medical institutions and so on. N95 mask is used for occupational respiratory protection, including some microbial particles (such as virus, bacteria, mold, Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, etc.).

The greatest feature of N95 mask is that it can prevent the infection of droplets caused by splashing of body fluids or blood of patients. The size of the droplets is 1 to 5 microns in diameter. American Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) stipulates for medical institutions that medical personnel exposed to tuberculosis must wear masks above N95 standard.

Note:

N95 mask is a mask with breathing valve. The function of breathing valve is to work in humid and hot environment with poor ventilation or heavy labor. Using mask with breathing valve can help you feel more comfortable when exhaling. Usage time: it depends on personal usage and environment. However, it is necessary to replace the mask immediately when having difficulties in breathing or discomfort are found, the mask is contaminated, such as foreign bodies such as blood stains or droplets, the user feels respiratory resistance is increased, and the mask is damaged.

When the N100 mask is tested with 0.3 micron particles, the barrier efficiency must reach above 99.7%. This is also the highest level of dust prevention regulations for masks in China's latest standard "Self-Priming Filtration Anti-Particulate Respirator". N100 mask is mainly designed in accordance with ergonomics. The material should be skin-friendly, which not only ensures that dust will not leak, but also has no damage to human skin. It is an indispensable labor protection tool for assured life.
